I've been to the gym twice this week since my induction. I would have gone tonight but I'm full of cold again and my head is about to burst!
We checked out the equipment this week ready for the race night so all's going well.
Lots more donations for the raffle this week- to the point where I'm now organising a sportsman's dinner- can women go in man-drag?
Also got 2 Justgiving donations from colleagues at work- thanks again!

Gym induction!
Well I made it! I've been inducted and I now know how to set the cardio machines to mountainous ranges! I also ran up the staris at work today and didn't need to stop for air!
I've been featured in the Widnes Weekly News- the Mail has yet to get in touch but I guess it won't take them long... mind you for the Emmerdale fans- you do realise I'm married to the Hotten Courier's John McNally!!!
Busy week ahead chasing up more raffle donations so I'll update you all then.

The diets starts now!
The induction at the gym is booked!!!! It's all uphill from here!
Had a disastrous day today thanks to British Gas- should have collected a donation from Morrisons and gone to the doctors- didn't make either!
However I did manage to return to some establishments visited last week!
Further thanks go to:
Hallmark shop- donated a cocktail shaker, child's bag and purse and 2 ornaments.
Even bigger thanks go to the Wids Health, Leisure & Squash Club for donating my gym membership to get fit enough to cope with this challenge.

The fundraising's started!

I trailed around the streets of Widnes requesting any help from local businesses. It was a freezing day and I gave up after over 4 hours!
I am extremely grateful to the following:
Efe's Restaurant - 2 bottles of wine
PuraVida - Beauty treatment (value £25)
Cooke and Brennan - ladies gift set
Church View Inn - meal for 2 with a bottle of house wine
All donations will be used in a raffle to be held at my race night - Widnes Rugby Union Football Club, Heath Road, Widnes starting at 7.30pm on Monday 26 January 2009. Shirl x
